Tribute to Bill Klink - Point-form relativistic quantum mechanics

Professor Wayne Polyzou

Abstract: Bill Klink was a faculty member in the Department of Physics and Astronomy from 1965-2009. He was one of the founding members of the Mathematical Physics seminar. He participated in and contributed to the seminar until 2025. Bill had many research interests, most of which were related to the concept of symmetry in physics. Some of Bill's scientific contributions involved Dirac's point-form formulation of relativistic quantum mechanics and quantum field theory. In this seminar I will discuss the motivation and structure Dirac's point form representation of relativistic quantum mechanics.
